On Friday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held a special sale of 38 Dairy Cattle.

A small entry of dairy cattle was forward, selling to a top price of £1,900 for a lovely, strong, correct second calved cow from Messrs G & E A Harrison, Mount Clifton. This same home sold a third calved cow to £1,850, selling to Messrs A & W Johnston, White Fold. Messrs H Noble & Sons, Crewgarth, sold a run of 24 in-calf Friesian cows, to a top of £1,220, selling to Messrs Hitchen, Crib Farm, Hallifax.
