Once again, we must thank all of our hard-working staff for their efforts in making this sale a huge success, as well as all of the vendors for putting the time and preparation into filling the yard here at Penrith with excellent sale entries making it well-worthy for buyers travelling the extra mile to secure purchases.
The sale topped at £62,000 for a Massey Ferguson 6S.165 on a 22 plate in excellent condition. A lot close to the end of the sale, a Deutz Fahr 6165 RC Shift from a local farm, achieved £42,000, a very clean and tidy lot on a 19 plate, now heading over the water to Southern Ireland.
Once again, the plant section proved one of the easiest to sell on the day, with competition very strong. Topping at £50,000 for a Komatsu D61PX Dozer, with this lot attracting several bidders from across the country and producing a return beyond most expectations. Diggers throughout the sale sold immensely well, topping at £26,500 for a Takeuchi TB1140, also making its way over the water. Any traders or dealerships who are in the plant trade should take notice of the returns here as this sale could be of a huge advantage to them, especially for diggers, loadalls and dumpers.
Machinery topped at £13,000 for a Richard Western SF12LX silage trailer, this was closely followed at £11,300 for a Weeks silage trailer, both being purchased by farming customers. Clean farm machinery sold exceptionally well all day, falling way short of buyers’ requirements.
Our next sale will be held on Friday 8th May 2026, which in the past has been our best sale of the year, down to its seasonal timing ready for the summer months ahead. All entries should be sent to jennysayer@penrithacution.com, please include pictures for advertising purposes.
