On Friday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their quarterly collective machinery sale.

The old-fashioned way came up trumps once again with no online bidding, and just a packed yard of entries of all values. This attracted a bumper crowd of people, resulting in a mighty sale clearance. This ever-growing sale proved a delight for returning vendors from all over the United Kingdom. Purchasers once again took advantage of the vast array of 1893 lots, this ensuring that there was something for everyone to buy.
The sale topped at £36,000 with lot 417, Massey Ferguson 6713S, 2019 from local dealers, Carrs Billington, Penrith, purchased by Southern Irish Traders. The tractor section once again attracted a vast of interest from both traders and private buyers. This resulting in a great sale rate.
Clean, tidy, genuine machinery from start to finish sold exceptionally well with many items surpassing their reserves with great ease. A total of 73 items sold in excess of £5000 and 13 selling in excess of £10,000.
All in all another very successful sale was witnessed, with Penrith Auction Mart now being noticed and recognised as one of the leading sales of machinery in the North of England.
