On Monday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their fortnightly sale of Prime Cattle.

A shortage of numbers forward in the prime ring, the sale topped at £2639.52/305.5ppk for a British Blue bull from Messrs P & MR Carruthers, Raw Foot, purchased by R Medcalf, Halifax.

Fed Limousin bulls topped at £2231.50/309.5ppk from Messrs FI & ME Little, Helm Croft, purchased by Jewitt Meat Company.

More clean cattle and prime bulls are required on a fortnightly basis to fulfil the demand of our regular buyers. Our next sale will be on Monday 22nd April.
