On Friday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their sale of 22 Dairy Cattle.

Quality achieved some strong demand, the sale topped at £2,400 for a fresh heifer from Messrs G & EA Harrison, Mount Clifton, giving 40L, calved on 21st January purchased by Messrs KA & PJ Woodman & Son, Brampton. This consignment of 14 British Friesian heifers and cows averaged £1,900, with a 5th calving cow giving 36L realising £2,050, purchased by Messrs A & W Johnston, Whitefold.
