Store Cattle Report 181223
On Monday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their fortnightly Sale of 89 Store Cattle & Feeding Bulls of all classes.
A Christmas bonanza sale was had, with the trade surpassing vendors expectations. The sale topped at £1755 for a Charolais heifer from Mr J D Bowman, Croft House, selling to Mr R Dickinson. This was closely followed at £1715 for a nineteen-month-old Limousin bullock from Messrs I S & C A Mounsey, Town Head, also bought by Mr R Dickinson.
Twenty-eight-month-old dairy-bred British Blue heifers from Messrs A Tiffin & Sons, Wham Head Farm, topped at £1555, selling to Mr A Skelton.
