On Wednesday Penrith & District Farmers Mart LLP held their fortnightly sale of 700 Store Lambs.
With trade as buoyant as we’ve seen this year a flying trade with a ringside full of eager buyers ensuring all classes were exceptionally well bid for. Topping the sale at £115 for a cracking Beltex lamb from M/s Coulthard, Fellside Farm. With a vast majority of the sale selling in excess of £90. Mr A G Smyth sold 12 great Dutch Spotted tup lambs £106. With Mules selling to £104 for a pen of 46 from Messrs T E Clarke, Howgill Castle. Many more are
needed in a fortnights time to fulfil local buyers needs and demands.
