Store Cattle Report 050623
On Monday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their fortnightly sale of 150 Store Cattle of all classes.
A very mixed entry of store cattle was forward, consisting of mainly dairy-bred heifers.
The sale topped at £1815 for a Limousin bullock from Mr JD Bowman, Croft House, purchased by Mr D Barker. This consignment averaged £1717.50.
None farm assured Beef Shorthorn heifers realised £1735 from Mr SD Lambert, Kitridding Farm. Fourteen-month-old none farm assured Limousin cross heifers from Mr C Edmondson, Penruddock, achieved £1545, selling to Mr R Dickinson.
A run of four Black & White bullocks, twenty-four-month-old averaged £1305 from Messrs DW Burne & Son, Greenlands
