Dairy Sale - 31.03.23

On Friday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their sale of 60 Dairy Cattle.

An entry of 60 head of Dairy Cattle were forward at our March Sale. Buyers travelled to take advantage of the genuine stock on offer today.

Topping at £2700 on four occasions went to Messrs R J & F M Grierson, Musgrave Hall with 4 strong milky Heifers giving 26 – 29L’s all selling to Messrs J K & B J Birkett, Morecambe. With this consignment of stylish well-presented cattle averaging £2462.50.

Plenty of demand around the ring for Incalf Heifers with a consignment of traditional natural British Friesian Heifer’s averaging £1472 topping at £1720, 8 months in calf to the Friesian selling to Messrs G & M M Dakin, Clitheroe. This consignment attracted several regular customers considering the quality and how genuine.

3rd calved Holstein Cow giving 42L’s from M/s W G L Soulby & Sons, Williamsgill achieved £1950 selling to Messrs M & K Palmer, Grange Farm.
