Store Lambs - 09.11.22
On Wednesday Penrith & District Farmers Mart LLP held their fortnightly sale of 800 Store Lambs.
Another great sale with another cracking ringside of buyers. Topping today’s sale at £116 was a lovely Beltex lamb from Messrs Robinson, Thrang Cragg. This run of continental lambs from this home sold to average £90. Another lovely consignment of 44 continental lambs from Messrs Hall, Sunnybank averaged £90.
Pens of Texel and Suffolk lambs out of Mule ewes continue to attract large interest regularly between £80-£90. Suffolk topped at £97 for a pen of 7 from Messrs Holland, Bank End.
A smaller show of mule lambs was forward topping at £78 from Dalehead. More lambs can easily be sold on a weekly basis don’t hesitate to get in touch.
