Store Lambs - 26.10.22
On Wednesday Penrith & District Farmers Mart LLP held their fortnightly sale of 800 Store Lambs.
Another fantastic sale of store lambs was sold in a very brisk trade a shade dearer than the previous sale. Topping the sale was a lovely black Beltex Lamb from Kallum Hunt, Braithwaite Shield purchased by Messrs Bell, Far Broom. Messrs Coulthard, Fellside sold 6 cracking Continental lambs to £98.
An array of lambs sold easily 80 with over a quarter of the sale achieving this in excess of £80. Mules were sold to a good rate topping at £79 from Messrs Bousfield, The Old Forge.
A good consignment of Swaledale lambs from Messrs Birkett, Birkett Mire, with 2 pens of 21 lambs selling to £39 and another pen of 42 sold to £38. Penrith Store Lamb sale has a great ringside of buyers with some good local supporters, our next sale will be held on Wednesday 9th November entries close noon Wednesday 2nd November.
