August Collective Machinery Sale 2022
On Friday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP conducted their quarterly collective sale of tractors and machinery.
Another huge success was had at our quarterly collective machinery sale, with the highest clearance rate of 89% being achieved. The heat and sunshine brought out buyers from all over the United Kingdom to witness a yard packed with quality, modern machinery, with trade passing our vendors’ expectations.
The sale topped at £41,000 for a Claas 850 Axion (2015/5,748hrs) from a collection of dispersal items and selling back in to the trade.
A total of 19 tractors sold in excess of £10,000 & 54 lots of all types exceeding £5,000.
The machinery section topped at £17,000 for a Kuhn Profile Plus diet tub feeder/bedder (2015) from a local farm, selling to Mr Hickson, Jedburgh.
A couple of popular lots in the sale were a pair of farmers’ livestock boxes, firstly a Hudson stock box with decks realised £16,000, this was followed at £14,500 for an OBE 24ft sheep stock box.
A busy section of plant equipment attracted plenty of interest with a Scania Euro 5 tipper (2011) achieving at £13,000.
Vintage tractors attracted a strong demand from collectors, with a grey Fergie (non-runner) achieving £3,200.
