On Monday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their fortnightly sale of Prime Cattle.

A great show of meat was on offer, topping at £1962.09 for a 774kg Limousin Bull, 19-months-old from Mr D Raine, Old Parks, purchased by Mr L Fell, with this consignment of four Limousin bulls averaging £1835.48/247ppk. Heifers from the same home topped at £1749.65/265.5ppk for a Limousin, weighing 659kg, purchased by Cocklakes Farm Shop, Penruddock.
