On Monday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their fortnightly sale of 63 OTM Cattle.

Demand was strong throughout once again, with vendors thrilled by their returns.
The sale topped at £1899.53 (232.5p/kg) for a 817kg five-year-old Limousin cow from Messrs G & JE Bell, Far Broom, purchased by Owain Llyr, Ruthin.

Black & Whites peaked at £1499.19/181.5ppk for a six-year-old cow, weighing 826kg from Messrs H & EM Hunter & Son, Cape Farm, purchased by Mr L Fell.
