Machinery Sale 200522
On Friday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP conducted their quarterly collective sale of tractors and machinery.
An on-site, live auction just cannot be beaten. The sale consisted of 1126 lots, with a clearance rate of 91% being achieved. Buyers were out in force from all over the UK, including twenty-seven active Irish customers present, all helping to create a marvellous sale once again. The sale opened at 9am and the final lot went under the hammer at 6:30pm.
The sale topped at £69,000 for a John Deere 6155, 2018 reg with 5185hrs on the clock. Next up £32,500 was achieved for an immaculate Land Rover defender 110, 2016 reg, with 10,000miles on the clock.
Demand was extremely strong all day, with quality clean machinery bringing in extremely strong returns. A local farmer sold a Claas Roland 520F round baler 2020, with 600 bales on the clock achieving £17,000.
