On Monday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their fortnightly sale of 37 OTM Cattle.
A majority show of dairy cows was forward to a complete ringside of buyers. The sale topped at 167.5ppk for a Holstein heifer totalling £1028.45 from Messrs Hayton, Penny Hill selling to Mr A Jarvis.
Older cows, straight out the parlour, achieved £1194.12/139.5ppk from Messrs D W Cannon, Low Abbey selling to Mr SH Bowes.
Dairy-bred British Blue cows achieved 145.5ppk for a 9-year-old cow from Messrs R & J M Ridley, Ranbeck, purchased by Mr A Jarvis.
Our opening sale in the new year will be Monday 3rd January 2022.
