Store Lambs 271021
On Wednesday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their fortnightly sale of 1000 store lambs.
A marvellous show of store lambs was forward to a very busy ringside of buyers, this ensuring an average of £90.86. Topping the sale at £112 was a pen of Texel cross lambs from Messrs TD Hewetson, Scales Hall, purchased by Messrs G & JE Bell. This run averaged £103.67.
A run of four hundred and forty-eight well farmed store lambs from Mr PM Smith, Cocklakes House averaged £95.96, topping at £103 a head for a pen of twenty-five, this closely followed at £102 for a pen of 54.
