On Monday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their fortnightly sale of Prime Cattle.

A marvellous show of prime cattle was forward, topping at 245.5ppk for a British Blue cross young bull, weighing 789kg from Messrs Pearson, Manor Farm, realising £1937, purchased by Pearson Wholesale Butchers, Bradford, with this run averaging £1780.09/235ppk.

Prime bullocks topped at £1578.19/234.5ppk for a Limousin from Mr D Raine, Old Parks, purchased by Cocklakes Farm Shop, Penruddock.
