Store Lambs 010921
On Wednesday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their fortnightly sale of 700 store lambs.
Store lambs attracted a fast trade once again. Numbers were way short of requirements, with many buyers going home empty handed.
The sale averaged £76.18 for all sold, topping at £96 a head for a pen of Suffolk tup lambs from Mr J Bayles, Melmerby, this run averaged £85.10.
A ring full of forty Mule lambs from RW & JH Emmott, Wythop Hall achieved £80 a head. All Mules in the sale averaged £74.96.
