On Monday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their “Latter Fair” sale of 18 breeding cattle.

Limousin heifers with heifer calves at foot achieved a top price of £1940 from Messrs RG Todd, Crosby Hall, purchased by Messrs Wood, Crosby Lodge.

Messrs P & J Bailey, Far Bank End, sold a fourth calved Beef Shorthorn X British Blue cow with a Beef Shorthorn Heifer calf at foot for £1520, bought by Messrs G & JS Robinson, Gunnerwell.
