On Monday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their fortnightly sale of 8 prime cattle.

More cattle were forward, all taking advantage of a strong trade, and extending ringside of buyers.

A handy weight Limousin X British Blue bull weighing 679kg from Messrs Raine, Fog Close, achieved 233.5p/kg, totalling £1585.47, selling to R Pearson Wholesale.

Mr D Raine, Old Parks, achieved 227.5p/kg (£1467.38) for a Limousin heifer weighing 645kg, selling to Honeywell Meats.
