On Monday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their fortnightly sale of Breeding Sheep.

Another good show of ewes and lambs was forward to a busier ringside of buyers, with all classes equally as dear as previous sales.

The sale topped at £100 per life for full-mouthed Texel ewes with twin lambs at foot, purchased by Mr WH Raine.

Several pens of full-mouthed Mule ewes with twin lambs at foot sold in excess of £80 per life, topping at £84 from Messrs A & M Skidmore, Flakebridge Farm.
