On Monday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their fortnightly sale of Prime Cattle.

A very fast trade was witnessed with all classes selling with great ease. The sale topped at 299.5ppk/£2123.46 for a 19-month-old Limousin X bull from Mr D Raine, Old Parks, purchased by R Pearson Wholesale Butchers, Bradford.

Handy weight heifers topped at 311.5ppk/£1750.65 for a 562kg Limousin also from Mr D Raine, Old Parks.

Montbeliarde bulls topped at 229.5ppk/£1452.74 from Messrs JP & GJ Simpson, Knock Cross, purchased by J & E Medcalf, Halifax.

More clean cattle and prime bulls are required on a fortnightly basis to fulfil the demand of our regular buyers. Our next sale will be on Monday 12th February.
