Store Lambs 160823
On Wednesday Penrith & District Farmers Mart LLP held their fortnightly sale of 730 Store Lambs.
A great entry of store lambs was forward to our second sale, with some great, healthy lambs on offer. The sale topped at £99 for a lovely pen of 5 Mule lambs from Messrs DJ & CM Hudson, Bassenbeck, another pen of Mule lambs achieved £87 from Mr J Wills, Fawcett Park.
Continental type lambs continue to sell well, regularly achieving £90-£100 per head, with pens of Texel X Mule lambs selling between £80-£88.
More interest and demand is being seen for store lambs, please advise entries to the office for our next sale on Wednesday 30th August.
