Machinery Sale 240223
On Friday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP conducted their quarterly collective sale of tractors and machinery.
Over 1700 lots went under the hammer starting at 9am and concluding at 7pm with a record number of buyers. Entries travelled from all over the United Kingdom both private and trade items resulting in our most successful sale to date. Including in excess of 150 tractors and diggers. This attracted the largest entries yet from both Northern & Southern Ireland.
Strong premium prices were achieved very easily, for clean tidy modern items with the high value items selling easier than ever.
Topping at £41,000 was a Massey Ferguson 7720, 16 plate from local contractors selling to Northern Irish Trader. 36 entries sold in excess of £10,000 with a JCB 526 Loadall, 63 plate in the plant section achieving £19,250.
Modern machinery from start to finish was unbelievable to sell with customers eager for stock with sales of second-hand machinery very strong with a very tidy 20ft Lagon cattle box trailer achieving £15,800, closely followed at £15,000 for a Ktwo rear discharge muck spreader.
Vendors reported an excellent day’s trading with returns way above expectations making the effort of advertising and transporting them well worth it with most leading machinery and tractors dealer, now using this sale to take advantage.
