Store Lambs - 31.08.22

On Wednesday Penrith & District Farmers Mart LLP held their fortnightly sale of 1500 Store Lambs.

A much larger show was forward with many local buyers present, keen for lambs.

Topping today’s sale at £96 on three separate occasions, firstly for a pen of 16 great types of Texel lambs from M/s Brownrigg, Howhill. Secondly for 2 pens off Tom Blease, Thorneythwaite for some lovely shaped Continental lambs.

Long keep lambs sold to great rates with strong demand for continental lambs. Mules topped at £83 from M/s Fell, Mosedale End.

We had a great number forward and a special thanks to all vendors. Our next sale will be held on Wednesday 14th September entries close noon Wednesday 7th September.
