Store Lambs - 17.08.22

On Wednesday Penrith & District Farmers Mart LLP held their fortnightly sale of 750 Store Lambs.

A fantastic trade was witnessed with a great ringside of buyers forward, ensuring all lambs were keenly bid for. Topping the sale at £99 was a lovely Beltex Lamb from Messrs Walton, Goodlie Hill. Long keep continental lambs sold with ease in excess of £85, Suffolk’s topped at £91 from Messrs Swift, Dry Howe. Cheviots sold to a top of £87 from Messrs Campbell, Town Head. Mules sold to a flying trade selling to a top of £86 for 14 from Messrs Bousfield, The Old Forge, many more lambs could be sold to vendors advantage with multiple purchasers going home empty handed.
