On Monday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their fortnightly sale of Prime Cattle.

Heifers topped at £1747.62/255.5ppk for a well-fleshed Limousin from Messrs Raine, Old Parks, purchased by Cocklakes Farm Shop.

A dairy-bred Charolais bullock, weighing 602kg achieved £1363.53/225.5ppk from Messrs M Ridsdale & Son, Yew Tree Farm.
