Morton Farm Sale 2022
On Saturday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart held an on-farm sale on behalf of Messrs SJ & B Walker, Morton Farm, Calthwaite, Penrith.
A lovely Spring like morning and some high value, modern lots attracted a large crowd of onlookers and buyers, travelling as far as Cornwall and Aberdeen.
The sale topped at £66,000 for lot 151 a 2020 Fendt Vario, with loader, and 850 hours on the clock.
Several lots of well-kept, modern machinery attracted plenty of interest with lot 146 a Richard Western SF11X silage trailer (2013) selling for £11,400 to customers from Cornwall.
Livestock equipment attracted the usual spirited bidding topping at £10,500 for a 21-foot Marshall cattle box (2012) selling to local farmers.
