OTM Cattle - 25.04.22
On Monday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their fortnightly sale of 72 OTM Cattle.
Demand again took a sharp lift with vendors amazed by their returns. The whole sale averaged 178ppk, with the larger proportion being dairy bred. The sale topped at £1958.45 from Messrs A G Teasdale, Colstons with a British Blue cow weighing 801kgs/244.5ppk purchased by Owain Llyr.
Also achieving 244.5ppk was a British Blue X Limousin young cow, weighing 749kgs, realising £1831.31 from Messrs Elliott, Bank House also selling to Owain Llyr.
The Holstein OTM Heifer peaked at £1220.94/199.5ppk from Messrs Hayton, Penny Hill purchased by Mr S McGimpsey.
