Store Hoggs - 19.01.22

On Wednesday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their fortnightly sale of 800 store hoggs.
A very successful sale was had with plenty of demand and confidence around the ringside. Topping at £118 ahead for a single Beltex lamb from Messrs W Richardson & Son, Ghyll House purchased by Mr J Tucker.
Closely followed at £117 a head from Mr W H Raine, Renwick with a pen of 20 and the same home selling 28 mules to £109 with the full consignment of 309 averaging £103.59.
