On Monday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their fortnightly sale of Prime Cattle.

A small show of Primestock was forward to our complete ringside of buyers.

Topping at 265ppk for a Limousin X Heifer, from Messrs J J Crichton, Loughrigg realising £1749 (660kgs) selling to Cocklakes Farmshop.

Prime Bulls topped at 249.5ppk from Mr D Raine, Old Parks, with a British Blue X Limousin, weighing 703kg, 17mths old, realising £1749 purchased by R Pearson Wholesale Butchers.
