Collective Machinery Sale 191121
On Friday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their quarterly collective machinery sale of 1,000 lots of tractors, vehicles, plant, machinery & livestock equipment.
A record day for Penrith & District Farmers Mart was witnessed, with a sale the like of which hasn’t been seen here before. A big thank you must go to all our staff for working extra hard and putting a tremendous effort in.
The sale attracted customers, both vendors and purchasers, from all four corners of the UK and Southern Ireland, with the largest crowd of prospective buyers ever seen. The trade held strong from start to finish with customers all eager to purchase complete loads to take back home.
No one can say that high value items don’t sell in collective sales, with the sale topping at £48,200 for a John Deere 9660-I-Hillmaster (2008) with header, purchased by trade customers. A total of twelve lots sold in excess of £10,000, with twenty-nine lots over £5,000.
Livestock equipment topped at £14,500 for a very tidy Herbst 24ft cattle trailer (2014), achieving several thousand pounds over the reserve.
A star of the sale was most definitely a fully restored Massey Ferguson 175 (1965), achieving £10,000 purchased by local collectors.
