Store Cattle Report 111021

On Monday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their fortnightly sale of 240 Store Cattle.

A very mixed show of store cattle was forward, with quality cattle in good order regularly achieving premium prices.

The sale topped at £1365 for a Blonde D'Aquitaine heifer from Mr P Wilson, The Wath, selling to MR R Dickinson.

Messrs JG & RW Nevinson, High House Farm sold dairy-bred Limousin heifers to £1265, bought by Mr D Whaite. This run averaged £1230.

Aberdeen Angus X bullocks sold very well throughout the sale. Lowther Park Farms sold to a top of £1335. A pen of three from Messrs Lowis, Waterside House realised £1325, this run of nice dairy-bred bullocks averaged £1311.67.

Our next sale will be our annual show and sale of suckled calves and feeding bulls, followed by store cattle of all classes to be held on Monday 25th October, entries close noon Monday 18th October.
