Rearing Calves & Stirks 060821
On Friday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their fortnightly sale of 142 Rearing Calves and Stirks.
Another fantastic show of all classes of youngstock was forward on the fortnight to a full ringside of buyers.
The sale topped at £750 for a nine-month-old British Blue bullock from Messrs RM & LA Woodhouse & Son, Howe Farm, purchased by Messrs J Ellwood & Partners.
JM & J Fisher & Daughters, Holme Wrangle, sold a lovely run of seven & eight-month-old British Blue bullocks to average £709, peaking at £740.
The younger end of calves sold well once again.
