On Monday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their fortnightly sale of Prime Cattle.
Clean cattle sold to a sharper trade with all classes competitively bid for, the sale topped at 231.5ppk/£1481.60 for a Limousin heifer from Messrs D Raine, Old Parks, purchased by Caterite Food Services, closely followed at £1457.48 from the same home, purchased by Cocklakes Farm Shop, Penruddock.
