On Monday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their fortnightly sale of Prime Cattle.
A good show of prime cattle was forward to our complete ringside of buyers, the sale topped at 219.5ppk for a Limousin heifer, weighing 624kg from Messrs BS & J Strong, Hewer Hill, realising £1369.68.
Young bulls from Messrs Raine, Old Parks, averaged £1439.47/201ppk, topping at £1537.20/213ppk for a Limousin cross, weighing 720kg, purchased by Pearson Wholesale Butchers.
