“Low Rutter Dispersal Sale Proves Highly Successful”
On Saturday, Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart conducted an on-farm sale on behalf of Messrs R Forrest, Low Rutter, Appleby.
The concluding sale of the Low Rutter dispersal attracted a huge crowd of buyers from across the country and further afield, with several lots making their way across the water to Northern Ireland.
The sale topped at £37,000 for an exceptionally clean and tidy Massey Ferguson 7720 Dyna-6, registered in 2018 and showing 4,900 hours.
Farm machinery also proved extremely popular. Leading the section at £10,500 was a well-maintained SlurryKat 2800 tanker, closely followed by a Claas Liner 2900 rake, which sold for £8,550.
Once again, the traditional live auction format, with no online bidding, proved highly successful. Strong competition ensured a fast-paced sale with no hold-ups, professionally conducted throughout.
